The Rowdy Datathon is a free, weekend-long, overnight hackathon focused on data science where students network, learn about data science, code, and collaborate! Students form teams to tackle an issue using data science and submit their solutions at the end of the weekend for a chance to win prizes.
Students can also attend workshops, mini events, socials, and network with our industry partners! Attendance is FREE and all meals, snacks, and drinks are provided. We welcome hackers from all disciplines, backgrounds and technical levels!
This year the Rowdy Datathon is organized in collaboration with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) at UTSA, the NSA, the UTSA Math Department, and the UTSA School of Data Science! The Datathon will be held Oct 5th & 6th, 2024 at the San Pedro I building at UTSA’s Downtown School of Data Science.
The Rowdy Datathon aims to cultivate a collaborative, tech-centered community. We strive to bring together students of all disciplines to enrich their technical knowledge and encourage collaboration among students with diverse perspectives.
