Why I’m Running

Why I should be elected for Vice President isn't an easy question to answer. My experience as Social Co-Chair Officer for Spring 2025 is my sole involvement with ACM. So, what gives me confidence in running for Vice President? I believe the key difference between myself and those with longer ACM involvement is my determination. I am committed to supporting our ACM President's vision and tackling tasks even when they are challenging. Over this past semester, I have developed a strong bond with ACM, which gives me the confidence to pursue the role of Vice President. My dedication as Social Co-Chair speaks volumes. For instance, I have taken initiative in creating engaging promotional videos for our social events, as well as personally editing each video. Did anyone specifically ask me to do this? No, but I believed it could take our social events to the next level - beyond traditional flyers. I am willing to undertake any responsibility that benefits our ACM President and the organization as a whole. This is why I am the right choice for Vice President.

I'm running for an officer position because I truly care about ACM's future. ACM welcomed me with open arms, and I would be lost without it. I want to make sure this open and welcoming student org stays that way for future members. I should be elected for Vice President because I believe I’m fully capable of taking on such a challenging role. I understand it won’t be an easy road, but I’m ready to rise from failure and keep pushing forward. I will place my trust in our ACM President’s guidance and remain committed to their vision. I’m ready to take on bigger responsibilities within ACM. As for Membership Officer, I believe my experience as Social Co-Chair ties directly into the responsibilities of that role. Membership Officer is the next step in helping ACM grow by bringing in more members and keeping them engaged. I believe both roles are vital to ACM’s success, but I’m ready to rise to the challenge of a stronger leadership position like Vice President. Let’s make it happen!
