I am running for ACM-W director because of my devotion to welcoming new students into technology, creating a supportive community for women, and my experience as a junior officer and programming tutor. I want to be an officer to encourage the growth of others and to continue to build my own confidence so that I can succeed in the professional world. In addition, from my experience as a programming tutor, I understand the importance of creating a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them. I am excited about the opportunity to help shape ACM-W's future in empowering women as leaders in tech while supporting the growth and success of all our members.
